Electrical Supervisor

Scope :

Involves maintenance and control of all installations, plants, repair and upkeep of all machines and mechanical systems at the rubber factory.

Main Accountabilities

MA1 : Guarantee the continuous availability and reliability of the standby generators as alternate source of electrical power for the running of the factory and for domestic purposes at all time.

  • Ensure effective planning and execution of preventive maintenance for the generators.
  • Maintain good records of these Equipment.

MA2 : Guarantee the proper functioning of all electrical installations to enable the achievement of the expected plant availability by

  • Ensure effective preventive maintenance for all electrical installations.
  • Properly designing and continuously improving electrical gadgets/installations for efficient performance;
  • Help to ensure the availability of high-quality spare parts.
  • Guarantee root cause analysis is made for all recurring electrical breakdowns.

MA3 : Guarantee maximum protection for all electrical installations  to eliminate any form of accident that may cause injury to workers  or damage to property by; 

  • Ensure that all risky installations are properly protected/insulated to avoid contact;
  • Ensure the use of the appropriate PPEs by team members.
  • Ensure that your team members are trained to execute their jobs efficiently and safely

MA4 : Ensure a high level of motivation among the electrical team for optimum performance by

  • Give appropriate rewards and administer appropriate sanctions;
  •  Coach and mentor team members;
  • Involve team members in decision-making;
  • Make recommendations regarding recruitment, discipline and promotions

MA5: Guarantee adequate illumination at all company installations at all times by.

  • Continuously reviewing and improving lighting systems.

MA 6 : Health Safety Environment Quality

  • Applies the Branch’s HSEQ policy and objectives by providing the means necessary for them, and makes sure that others apply them also.
  • Makes the necessary measures to minimize risks jeopardizing Quality, Safety and the Environment.
  • Applies the regulations, customer-group requirements, and the HSEQ system within the company and makes sure that others apply them.
  • Gets involved in the HSEQ system by leading discussion groups, participating in accident or near-accident analyses, and performing audits as the case may be.
  • Proposes and carries out improvement actions and corrective and/or preventive actions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

MBSC Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in a similar post.
