
On Monday, 11th May 2025, the Honorable Member of Parliament for the Ahanta West Constituency, Hon. Mavis Kuukua Bissue, together with her entourage, paid a working visit to the Ghana Rubber Estates Ltd. The objective of the visit was to formally introduce herself to the management and staff, gain insight into the company’s core business, and explore avenues of collaboration, particularly in advancing the company’s community development initiatives.
Hon. Bissue and her team were warmly received by the management team. The Managing Director, Mr. Thierry Cauchy, delivered a presentation of the overview of GREL’s operations. His briefing covered the history of the company, its plantations, factories, out-grower support, and export activities.
The presentation further highlighted GREL’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives both internal and external in partnership with ACLANGO. Mr. Cauchy reiterated the company’s ongoing support for local communities through educational programs, healthcare initiatives, and the provision of potable water. Hon. Bissue expressed her admiration for the significant contributions GREL continues to make, not only in providing employment but also in sustainable community development. The visit concluded with a group photograph and an informal interaction session between the Member of Parliament, the management team, and staff.
